Elections 2022 Recap

I spoke with Pj of Chill Talks Podcast along with Hannah, Ren and Franz about the events that have transpired in the recent national elections. We spoke about the good, the bad, the funny and the ugly parts of this circus we go through every three years, although this one was so much different than the others.

We no longer vote based on credentials. We vote based on charisma. Kapag nanalo ang binoto natin, we want to get affirmation na tama yung binoto natin. The problem is, kapag hindi na maganda yung mga news na lumalabas about our manok, naiinis tayo. We feel violated. Ang mahirap diyan, instead na mainis tayo doon sa leader na binoto natin, sa media tayo naiinis. Nababaling natin yung galit natin sa media na nagrereport lang ng nangyari. Bakit ganon? Why do we not put our elected leaders on a higher standard? Why shoot the messenger?
